works at Birdie Num Nums and St Ali!

If you happen to be in carlton (melbourne) and want to go to an awesome cafe/restaurant go to Birdie Num Nums on 745 Nicholson Street. You might happen to see my work, "White Gold" on their wall.

Also, in South melbourne, St Ali, the freakin coolest cafe I have been to yet - it's huge and industrial with awesome music, has my work "Good Morning" displayed there as well. It is located at 12 - 18 Yarra Place. Check it out!!

jewelry and other such things

Recently I have been branching out into creating pendants, earings and bracelets out of polymer clay. I have been painting and image-releasing onto them. I am also going to extend my arts practice to create other commercial items such as cushion covers, scarves and perhaps even clothes. I will put some photos up soon! The $10 000 grant that I applied for certainly would help get the equipment I would need to do all of that! Fingers crossed! I find out in December sometime.

VISUAL DISGORGEMENT - solo show at 69 Smith Street Fitzroy

Although most graffiti tagging is visually unappealing, ugly and crude, on closer examination there is a hidden beauty. It tells a story of where people have been and shows the life of a city. It also makes us wonder why people go to so much effort to annoy others and be a nuisance. Visual Disgorgement explores the notion that not everything is what it seems and should not be dismissed on first impressions.

Please join and meet the artist at the opening on March 26th, 2011 between 4 and 6pm or visit the exhibition which runs from 23rd March to the 10th April.
